Drugs, cash, electronics seized from vehicle

Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 21 calls for service from January 14, 8 a.m. till January 15, 8 a.m.

During the same time period there have been two people lodged in Terrace Cells – one of these persons was lodged for public intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

Impaired driver in a red 1994 Buick. Police attended to the address of the registered owner and spoke with an intoxicated 55-year-old man.

Theft of an iPad mini. Under investigation.

Hit-and-run to a grey Subaru in the Save On Foods Parking lot. Police spoke with the registered owner. It was not a hit and run. Information was exchanged.

Intoxicated man passed out in the bus shelter in front of the Skeena Mall. Police arrested a 62-year-old man.

Elsewhere Terrace

Missing man. Police followed up. The man was not missing. He had changed his residence without informing his spouse.

Suicidal 25-year-old woman. Police spoke with the people involved. Unsubstantiated.

Shoplifter at Walmart. Under investigation.

Warrants were issued for a 23-year-old man, 20-year-old man, and a 25-year-old man for failing to attend court. Separate matters.

Angry man yelling at a building on Hall St. Checks were done of the area.

A person walking around a residence on Soucie Ave. Checks were done of the area.

Money was fraudulently withdrawn from a bank account on New Year's Eve. Under investigation.

A found wallet was turned in to be returned to its owner.

Drug information received.

A black iPod was found in Lanfear Park and turned into the detachment.

Intoxicated man staggering down Kalum St. was almost struck by a vehicle. Police arrested a 22-year-old man and transported him to the care of a sober relative.


Deceased 72-year-old man on Kerby St.

Possible break and enter to a garage. A light was on that was not on before. Unsubstantiated.

A beige 1996 Toyota Corolla was pulled over on River Dr. An amount of drugs, cash, and electronic devices were seized. Charges are being forwarded on a 53-year-old man.


Trees down and blocking Kitselas Rd. Police requested the assistance of Nechako Northcoast.
