Snow plow narrowly misses man near Gossen

Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 21 calls for service from January 13th, 8 a.m. till January 14th, 8 a.m.

During the same time period, there was one person lodged in Terrace Cells for public intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

False alarm at a business in the Skeena Mall.

Three intoxicated men causing problems for staff of the Coast Cold Beer and Wine Store. Police arrested a 62-year-old man for public intoxication.

False business alarm on Lakelse Ave.

The driver of a black Jeep honked at two women and cut them off in the crosswalk at Sparks St. and Lakelse Ave.

Police pulled over a brown Pontiac Grand Am on Lazelle Ave./Eby St. The 18-year-old driver provided two samples of breath into a roadside screening device that resulted in fails. She was served an Immediate Roadside Prohibition and the vehicle she was driving was impounded.

False business alarm on Lakelse Ave.

A grey sheep skin shoulder bag containing a black leather wallet and various cards and ID was lost somewhere downtown.

Elsewhere Terrace

Assist New Hazelton RCMP with document service.

Breach of a Peace Bond by attending a residence. Police arrested a 55-year-old man. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

Familial dispute. The people involved were separated.

Three vehicle collision at Hwy 16/Sande Overpass. The vehicles were gone prior to police attendance.

Two intoxicated men and one sober woman walking near George Little Park. Checks were done of the area.

A white truck, a blue Ford truck, and a black car circling a residence on Lazelle Ave. Ongoing issue. Checks were done of the area.

AWOL patient from Mills Memorial Hospital. Police apprehended the 25-year-old woman walking on Lazelle Ave./Kalum St.

Ongoing issue of cars speeding on Park Ave.


A man observed a woman take papers containing personal information from his residence. Under investigation.

Two 14-year-old girls were followed by a black minivan while walking on Queensway Dr. Checks were made of the area.


Harassing messages via electronic device and social media. Police gave advice on the matter.

A man walking with a walker on Hwy 16 near the Gossen Subdivision was almost hit by a passing snow plow truck. Checks were made of the area.

A two tone brown 1978 Ford pickup truck with a canopy driven by a man in his 30's with a reddish beard and an orange hoodie followed a woman driving her vehicle on Hwy 37 to the airport and possibly attempted to run her off the road.

A red Ford was pulled over on Hwy 16 near the Gitsegukla Reserve. The 51-year-old driver was suspended. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
