Police dog locates man who fled

Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 24 calls for service from December 11, 8 a.m. till December 12, 8 a.m.

During the same time period, there have been two people lodged in Terrace Cells, none for public intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

Uttering threats. A man threatened to shoot a place up after a disagreement about policy. Police spoke with the man.

Pocket dial false 911 call.

Intoxicated man and woman causing a disturbance in a motel room. The left prior to police attendance. Checks were done of the area.

Elsewhere Terrace

Internet luring/possession/distribution of child pornography investigation.

BC Ambulance requested police assistance with a situation. It resolved itself prior to police attendance.

Patient AWOL from Mills Memorial Hospital. Police escorted a 32-year-old man back to the hospital.

Drug information received.

Drug information received.

An eight-year-old boy had his backpack, snacks, and jacket stolen. The backpack and jacket were recovered. The jacket had been urinated on. The parents were uncooperative with each other in coming to a resolution. Police have had discussions with the school and are continuing to work with them in dealing with this matter.

Weird noises on Scott Ave. Checks were done and nothing was heard.

Thornhill

A man having a breakdown requesting police assistance before he hurts himself or others. Police apprehended a 20-year-old man and took him to Mills Memorial Hospital.

A house was vandalized by eggs on Clark St.

Rural

A cab worker was harassed by a fare. Police spoke with the people involved and received conflicting versions of events. A solution to prevent further problems was reached.

Kitsumakalum

Police observed a stolen truck parked in the driveway of a residence. Police spoke with a man in the residence. He was the owner of the truck. He had found his truck the day after it went missing near Brauns Island.

A student vandalized the Na Aksa Gila Kyew School. Police spoke with various agencies who are dealing with the matter.

Assault and uttering threats. Police attended to a residence and the man fled into bushes. Police Service Dog, Rook, located the 32-year-old man in the bushes. He was arrested without incident.

Gitaus

Police assisted another agency in keeping the peace.
