Terrace RCMP check hundreds of vehicles

The Terrace RCMP checked 380 vehicles on Saturday night, December 7th, as part of National Impaired Enforcement Day.

The results were one Immediate Roadside Prohibition (breath test results in fail) and four Roadside Suspensions (breath test results in warn).

"Overall we were very pleased with what we saw on Saturday night but our goal is 100% sobriety. Impaired driving is a completely preventable cause for crashes. It takes just one impaired driver to cause an accident that can have devastating lifelong effects for others. As the holiday season continues so will our enforcement efforts to ensure the roads are safe from impaired drivers," says Sgt Pamela Hart, Non Commisioned Officer in Charge of West Pacific Traffic Services.
