People alleged to be involved in assaults uncooperative with police
TERRACE RCMP responded to approximately 16 calls for service from November 25th, 8 a.m. till November 26th, 8 a.m. During the same time period, there were four people lodged in Terrace Cells, all for public intoxication.
A woman was observed yelling for help. A man was observed attempting to assault her and being held back by two men. Police located the intoxicated woman walking in traffic. The 25-year-old woman was arrested for public intoxication. She was not cooperative with police and kicked and spat at the member. Another call was received about one of the men who was involved in this incident because he had assaulted another man. Further details were not obtained. Nobody would cooperate with police.
A red 2004 Ford Escape and a red 1990 Plymouth Laser were involved in a collision on McConnell Ave. The Plymouth sustained major damage and was towed. The Ford sustained minor front end damage. The driver of the Plymouth suffered minor injury.
Break and enter to a residence on Sparks St. Money was stolen.
Domestic dispute. A man agreed to spend the night elsewhere till cooler heads could prevail.
Two intoxicated men and a mildly intoxicated woman standing on a sidewalk on Park Ave. Police arrested a 20-year-old man for breaching his no consume alcohol conditions and public intoxication. The other two people were transported to a residence.
Group of intoxicated people disturbing the peace near Suwilaawks School. Checks were done of the area.
Familial dispute. Police spoke with the people involved.
Sexual interference investigation.
A white 1991 Pontiac Firebird in the ditch on Paquette Ave. near the Petro Canada. The vehicle was towed out. A second call was received that the car was now impeding the flow of traffic. Police reattended and spoke with the driver who agreed to move the car.
Intoxicated people refusing to leave a hotel room. Police spoke with two men ages 41 and 46 who agreed to leave. Firearms found in the hotel room were seized for safekeeping.
False residential alarm on River Dr.
Deceased 82-year-old woman on Kroyer St.
Breach of Probation warrant for a 31-year-old man.
A chunk of ice flew off a commercial van, striking and breaking the windshield of a Dodge Caravan on Hwy 16 east. Police have spoken with the registered owner of the commercial vehicle.
