Search continues for missing mushroom pickers

TERRACE RCMP and Terrace Search and Rescue are continuing their search for two missing mushroom pickers.

Michael Sabo, 32, and Ike Murray, 26, have not been seen since they set off together to pick mushrooms in the area of Lorne Creek along the Skeena River on the morning of Sunday, September 22nd, said police.

Police and search and rescue volunteers have been searching the area since first light on the morning of Monday, September 23rd with a local helicopter that first day.

Lakelse Lake Air donated its helicopter as part of the search yesterday morning and then an RCMP helicopter arrived to help with searching, said police.

If you would like to volunteer in the search, call search and rescue at 250-635-4669 and leave a message.
