Two aggressive dogs in the parking lot at Denny's

The Terrace RCMP has received approximately 22 calls for service from December 17, 8 AM till December 18, 8 AM. During the same time period there was nobody lodged in Terrace Cells.

Downtown Terrace

Group of intoxicated people in an alleyway near Greig Ave. Checks were done of area.

Three intoxicated people in front of a store on Lakelse Ave. Checks were done of area.

Elsewhere Terrace

Theft of an Ipod from a backpack while the owner was sleeping on the Greyhound bus from Smithers to Terrace. The Ipod is described as black and 16 gb

A person read on Facebook that threats were made towards students in an Elementary School. Police determined that these threats were made in New Hazelton and being investigated by RCMP there.

Computer hackers gained access to a Gmail account and through that to a person's financial records and personal information. A large amount of money was stolen. The fraud is being investigated by the financial institution. Police gave advice on the matter.

False residential alarm on Mountainvista Dr.

Police assisted Mills Memorial Hospital with the apprehension of a 24 yr old man under the Mental Health Act.

Grey Dodge truck swerving in and out of traffic on Hwy 16 West/Eby St. Checks were done of area.

Police assisted Mills Memorial Hospital with the apprehension of a 23 yr old woman under the Mental Health Act.possible breach. A 16 yr old girl drinking alcohol contrary to conditions in the Library Park. Checks were done of area.

13 yr old girl reported missing for the 13th time in the last six weeks. The girl was overdue on her curfew. She returned on her own accord early in the morning.

Intoxicated man outside of a residence on Scott Ave trying to push his way in. Police located the 36 yr old man passed out on the front steps of the residence and arrested him for public intoxication. A head injury was noted on the man. Police requested the assistance of BC Ambulance who transported the man to Mills Memorial Hospital.

Two aggressive dogs in the back of a pickup truck parked at Denny's restaurant. The dogs startled a woman and she bumped into another vehicle. The woman attempted to speak with the owner of the dogs but he was not cooperative.

Thornhill

Aggressive driver in a transport truck. The person reported the incident to the company who did not seem inclined to hold their driver accountable. Police requested the assistance of Kitimat RCMP with the incident.

A white 2003 Pontiac Vibe and a green 2008 Toyota Tundra collided at River Dr/Desjardins Ave. The Pontiac suffered extensive damage and was towed. The 37 yr old driver and the 5 yr old passenger of the Pontiac were assessed at Mills Memorial Hospital. The 18 yr old driver of the Toyota was uninjured.

A man screaming and throwing furniture at a residence. Police transported the 30 yr old man to Mills Memorial Hospital to be assessed.

A man stated he was jumped when he got off the bus somewhere on River drive and was beaten up. Police determined the complaint to be unsubstantiated.

Intoxicated 48 yr old man refusing to leave a residence on Queensway Dr. The man left prior to police attendance.

Possible impaired in a white 2003 Ford truck on Old Lakelse Lake Rd. Police located the vehicle near the water tower. The 21 yr old driver failed a roadside screening device. She was issued an Immediate Roadside Suspension and the vehicle she was driving was impounded.

Rural

A wallet found in Vancouver was sent to Terrace RCMP to be returned to its owner.

Stolen blue 2011 Ford Fusion BC LP 796 LJL from Hertz Car Rentals at the airport sometime between December 10th and December 17th.

A red 1998 Dodge truck was rear ended by a grey 2002 Ford truck on Hwy 16 East. Road conditions were very slippery. Damage to the Dodge was minimal. One of the passengers in the Dodge required assessment by BC Ambulance at scene. The Ford was not driveable and towed.

A grey 2011 Dodge pickup truck hit a deer at the bottom of Airport Hill on Hwy 37. Police had to shoot the injured deer. The 46 yr old driver was uninjured. Damage to the vehicle was minimal.
