The BC Jobs Fair started at noon today at Terrace's Sportsplex, attracting locals wanting information about regional employment.

Business, education and government representatives are present with information about current and future job opportunities in the region and province, as well as training and job resources.

The event runs until 7 p.m. today.

Examples of those in attendance include Terrace's Best Western Hotel, Progressive Ventures Ltd., Northwest Community College, Avanti Kitsault Mines Ltd., Bechtel with information on the Kitimat Modernization Project, Pacific Northern Gas and a B.C. Jobs Start Here mobile exhibit.

This is all part of the province's BC Jobs Plan. Events like these have been held across the province since the end of September and will wrap up in Vancouver on Nov. 30. For more information about B.C. jobs visit WorkBC.ca.
