Local man faces drug charges

A LOCAL man faces several drugs and firearms charges.

David Edwardsen of Thornhill has been charged with four counts of trafficking, two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, one charge of production of a controlled substance, and four firearms charges.

His first appearance in court was Sept. 20 and he is scheduled for a bail hearing Oct. 5.

An RCMP advisory this morning says there will be a press conference in Surrey beginning at 12:30 pm with "respect to law enforcement activities underway in the North District of BC."
