Youth rolling joints at Terrace drive-thru

HERE ARE the incident requiring the presence of Terrace RCMP officers for the 24-hour period ending 8 am May 11.

Downtown Terrace

- intoxicated man outside of Mark’s Work Wearhouse.  Police arrested the 41 yr old man for public intoxication.

- a grey 2007 Chevrolet Sierra had its lug nuts loosened.  May have occurred while it was parked outside of Save On Foods.

- person request a well being check on a neighbor that hasn’t been seen in a couple days.  The neighbour was fine, just not feeling well.

- intoxicated woman on Lakelse Ave.  Checks were done of area.

- police observed an intoxicated man soliciting people leaving the Best Western Inn for money.  Police arrested the 48 yr old man for public intoxication.

- two young men were seen rolling a joint while going thru the Dairy Queen drive thru.  Checks were done for their green Ford pickup.  The registered owner of the truck was spoken with.

- police observed an intoxicated man on Greig Ave.  The 51 yr old man was arrested for public intoxication.

- police observed an intoxicated woman staggering down Lazelle Ave.  The 49 yr old woman was arrested for public intoxication.

- police assisted City of Terrace Animal Control with the seizure of a puppy on Scott Ave.

- false residential alarm on Skeena St

- A man reported a theft.  He was living with the suspect, a woman, at the time of the alleged offence.  Advice was given on the matter.

- two young children found an RCMP member’s ball cap.  It was turned in to the detachment, and appreciated.

- noise complaint on Little Ave.  The party was shut down.

- intoxicated man on Park Ave.  Checks were done of area.

- intoxicated woman assaulted another woman on Sparks St.  Police located the 23 yr old woman attempting to escaped by climbing over a fence in the parking lot.  She was arrested for public intoxication and assault. She had left her 4 yr old son unattended in the residence.  Ministry of Children and Families assisted police with the matter.

- false business alarm on Hwy 16 West

- two suspicious men on Park Ave.  Checks were done of area.

- police observed an intoxicated woman standing on Atwood St.  The 32 yr old woman was arrested for public intoxication.

- police observed an intoxicated woman on Kalum St / Greig Ave.  The 44 yr old woman was arrested for public intoxication.


- possible gas syphoning over night on Bobsein Cr

- a man gave a licence plate to a woman and wants it back.  Not a police matter.


- suspicious gold colored suburban parked at a residence.  Police involvement was not wanted.

- a green 1997 Dodge Caravan was checked on Hwy 16.  An amount of marijuana was seized.

- a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was stopped for speeding on Hwy 37.  The driver was given a 24 hr suspension for being impaired by alcohol.


- black Ford Mustang in the ditch near Ecstall Ave.  Police attended.  The vehicle was already out.  The driver was spoken with and he was fine.
