People are dining and dashing in Terrace

HERE ARE the incidents requiring the presence of Terrace RCMP officers for the 24 hour period ending the morning of May 9.

Downtown Terrace

- two men did a dine and dash at the Golden Star Restaurant.  First man is described as First Nations, late 20's early 30's, blue sweats, blue toque, blue hoodie.  Second man is described as Caucasian, 40's, red hair, red beard, vague clothing.

- police observed an intoxicated man walking down Greig Ave.  The man was known to police to have been released from the Prince George Regional Correction Centre days prior and on probation to not consume alcohol.  Police arrested the 39 yr old man for breach of probation. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

- 3 girls did a dine and dash at Pizza Hut

- false business alarm on Lakelse Ave

Elsewhere Terrace

- harassment complaint.  Advice was given

- Terrace Shelter requested police assistance.  They were full and could not provide a bed for a man.  Police gave the man a ride to an alternate location.

- a Facebook trade of items gone bad.  Not a police matter.  One person was warned to stop contacting the other.

- intoxicated man causing problems at the shelter on Hall St.  Police arrested a 34 yr old man for public intoxication.

- intoxicated man causing problems at the shelter on Hall St.  Police arrested a 39 yr old man for public intoxication

- a 16 yr old girl went to a residence on Davis Ave to see a friend.  The friend was sleeping.  So the 16 yr old girl stole her friend’s bike and left.  Missing is a grey / blk Huffy mountain bike.

- assault at the Kalum Motel.  A door was kicked in .  Police arrested a 27 yr old man for assault.  Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

- false business alarm on Legion Ave

- possible breach of probation by contact.  Police investigated.  Unfounded.

- a blue 1993 Chevrolet Lumina was involved in a single vehicle motor vehicle incident on Hwy 37 and Queensway Dr. The 82 yr old driver was uninjured.  The vehicle suffered extensive damage and was towed.

- false alarm on Mountainview Ave

Rural

- suicidal 49 yr old woman.  She was located in another town.  Police requested the RCMP in the other town follow up with her.

- white 2009 Dodge Caravan was victim of a hit and run in the Walmart parking lot.  The rear passenger side bumper was damaged.
