Guns stolen in New Hazelton

DURING THE week of April 9th to April 15th, the New Hazelton RCMP responded to 60 calls for service.  A summary of some of the incidents are as follows:
On April 9th, 2012, the New Hazelton RCMP received a complaint of a break and enter to a residence on Field Street in Hazelton.
The break and enter occurred sometime between April 6th to April 9th.  Unknown suspects gained entrance into the residence, and stole approximately 20 firearms that were stored legally in a gun locker.
The New Hazelton RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in identifying and locating the suspects who broke into this residence.

On April 11, 2012, the New Hazelton RCMP received a complaint of an intoxicated male passed out in the middle of Cottonwood Drive in Gitanmaax.  The New Hazelton RCMP attended to find an highly intoxicated 23 year old male.
The male, who is well known to police, was on court conditions to abstain from the consumption of alcohol.  The male was arrested for breach of undertaking, however, decided to resist arrest and attempted to fight the officer.
The officer gained control of the male, who was arrested for breach of undertaking and resisting arrest.  The male will be attending court in the near future for both new charges.
On April 13th, 2012, the New Hazelton RCMP conducted a vehicle stop of a vehicle driving in Hazelton with no tail lights.
The driver, a 27 year old local male, was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol.  The male was arrested for driving while impaired.
The driver's vehicle, which he owned, has been impounded, and the driver will be attending court in the near future for driving while impaired.
