Body found east of Terrace

POLICE ARE at a residence in Gitaus, the Kitselas First Nation subdivision east of Terrace on Hwy16, after a body was discovered there.

A police release are calling the situation a "suspicious death".

"A male, believed to be in his 20s, was discovered Thursday afternoon (Jan.5) in the community of Gitaus, approximately 20 kilometres east of of Terrace," the release continued.

The release says officers are in the preliminary stages of an investigation and expect to be at the location until late today.
