New Hazelton death probed

On Friday November 25th, a man was found deceased in his residence on the Kispiox reserve, after family requested the RCMP to check on his well being. The RCMP and Coroners Services are continuing their investigations in order to determine if the death is criminal in nature.

On Friday November 25, 2011, at around 3:30pm, the New Hazelton RCMP attended to the residence of a 62 yr old New Hazleton man after family requested police assistance in checking in on his well being. Officers found the man deceased inside his residence on the

Kispiox Reserve near New Hazelton.

“Further scene examination and the completion of an autopsy will be required prior to investigators being able to make any further determination as to the nature of the man’s death” statd Cpl Dan Moskaluk.

The New Hazelton RCMP and BC Coroners Services are continuing their investigation into the man’s death. Investigators are continuing their examination of the scene throughout the weekend.
