Road to Stewart open again
CREWS HAVE cleared a mud slide on Hwy37A that had blocked access to Stewart.
The slide occurred last night in the Bear Glacier area approximately 39km east of the community.
Area transportation manager Carl Lutz said a geotechnical engineer examined the slide area while crews and equipment waited to move in for the clean up.
"It was a small mud slide, about 20 metres wide and one metre deep," he said.
