Rainfall warning in effect

The rainclouds haven't taken much rest this summer in northern B.C. and a recent weather warning says residents should prepare for even more rain.

The federal weather office issued a rainfall warning this morning to Terrace and other northern communities in B.C. — both coastal and inland.

Heavy rainfall is expected to start anytime and is forecasted to continue until Wednesday, potentially Thursday.

Up to 100 millimetres of rain is expected to fall by then.

A strong frontal weather system over the north coast is blowing storm and gale-force southerly winds over some parts of the region.

A wind warning is not in effect for Terrace.
