Motorist killed
A 39-YEAR-OLD Hazelton man is dead after his vehicle collided with another vehicle in snowy road conditions on Hwy 37 Dec. 27.
Two vehicles crashed on a downhill curve near the Kitimat River Bridge, about 25 km north of Kitimat, reported police.
Both drivers and their passengers were taken to hospitals in the area, according to Const. Fritz Schmid of the local highway patrol, who declined to give any more information except to say that the investigation was still in its early stages. He would not say how many passengers were riding in the vehicles.
Traction was limited on the three-lane road at the time of the accident, say Kitimat RCMP and the local highway patrol, who are investigating.
Police are not releasing the name of the deceased.
