Vehicle damages store

SHOPPERS AND employees of Creative Zone were startled Feb. 3 when a vehicle crashed into the store’s front window. According to store owner Kathy Legault, a driver pulling in front of the store failed to stop and drove directly into the building, shattering the front window and bending the steel window frame and the store’s outside wall.

“She was pulling in, and just seemed to accelerate,” said Legault, who added it looked as though the driver hit the wrong pedal when trying to break.

No one was injured in the incident, although Legault said she was quite shaken up. After the crash the passenger in the vehicle proceeded to enter the store to shop. The vehicle was not badly damaged and was driven away from the scene.
