THE TERRACE Rod and Gun Club's sponsorship of the sport of biathlon has been helped thanks to the Terrace branch of the Northern Savings Credit Union.

The credit union branch provided a cheque for $1,000 to the club as part of a series of community donations helping mark Credit Union Week, Oct. 15-19.

Each of the four credit union branches within the Northern Savings network received $15,000 to distribute.

Credit Union chair Nirmal Parmar, a Terrace resident, noted the contributions made by community organizations.

“On behalf of the board and employees, I want you to know how much we value the work that you do that is enriching the lives of our communities.” he said.
