STUDENTS AT Centennial Christian picked a beautiful day for their Jump Rope for Heart event in the school parking lot and field, yesterday, May 15.

About 80 students from kindergarten to Grade 7 collected pledges and went through a variety of jumping and skipping activities for two hours that afternoon.

"The purpose of the event is to raise money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation and to encourage heart healthy lifestyles," said teacher Gord Buxton.

In addition to jumping rope by themselves, students tried double dutch skipping and played games with a parachute, such as 'shark' and 'igloo.'
