LOCAL CELEBRITIES are helping prepare and serve meals at McDonalds for McHappy Day today.
Money raised will go to the Terrace Children's Development Centre (CDC), a non-profit society which annually helps more than 300 children with special needs to reach their potential through therapy, education and family support.
Locals who agreed to come out to help include Terrace fire chief John Klie, firefighter Colin Willoner, mayor Dave Pernarowski, Terrace RCMP Staff Sgt. Robert Pritchett and CDC executive director Margot van Kleeck.
The annual McHappy Day, in its 19th year, sees a portion of the sale of every Big Mac sandwich, Happy Meal and McCafe beverage go to local children's charities.
McHappy Day continues until 2 p.m. today, May 2.
