Local band King Crow and the Ladies From Hell played The Habitat in Kelowna last night as their provincial tour continues.

Following the release of their newest CD, Songs of Misery and Hope, in Terrace June 6, the band headed east to Prince George in their tour bus and then south.

Stops on Vancouver Island are next with the tour winding up in Wells, a small community right next to Barkerville outside of Quesnel on June 21.

The tour has been going well, says promotions manager Sarah Zimmerman, although the band did have to cope with mechanical trouble yesterday in the Okanagan.

“The bus broke down. We fit half the band into a tow truck and the other half waited for a friend to come from Kamloops, pick them up at the side of the road and drive them to Kelowna,” she reports.

The next schedule performance was to be in Cumberland on Vancouver Island tonight but that's now been postponed until June 16.
