KSAN GIRLS' Camp and the RCMP launched a 'shack attack' to help clean up the Howe Creek Trail recently.
They helped take down an old shack partway up one of the treed hills along the trails; unfortunately someone had smashed the shack up before they got to do it themselves, says one of the coordinators Terrace RCMP Const. Angela Rabut.
"It was fun. It was a lot of fun," she says, adding the girls were disappointed that they didn't get to break up the shack themselves. "It was a real positive experience."
The group took down all the wood planks and made sure all the nails were gone too so the area is safe.
