Come celebrate local history

The event “Bringing History to Life” is set to take place May 6 in George Little Park. The event will begin at the Spirit Square with an opening ceremony and welcome from dignitaries.

The event will begin at the Spirit Square with an opening ceremony and welcome from dignitaries.

From 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. there will be guided tours and outdoor activities such as an interpretive eco-heritage hike and a guided tour of the Kitsumgallum Pioneer Cemetery.

A bag lunch will be provided although attendees are asked to bring their own bottles of water.

The afternoon will kick off with more outdoor events and activities.

At 3 p.m. there will be a maypole dance with entertainment at the George Little Park.

There will be an awards ceremony followed by a hot dinner served between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.

The Terrace Art Gallery will be open for the viewing of student projects from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
