Dessert night helps others

It was International Dessert Night Feb. 19 as members of the area guiding movement gathered for a combined meeting at Uplands Elementary. Enjoying the treats are, from the left, Pathfinder Kallie Edwards, Ranger Luane Dorais-Fleming, Pathfinder Mackenzie Gorman and Guide Merrah Edwards. International Dessert Night sees members of the local area's guiding movement gathered for a combined meeting at Uplands Elementary Feb. 19.

For a small cost, they enjoyed a variety of desserts with proceeds from the event going to help young people elsewhere gain an education.
