Guiding movement gathers in Thornhill
A PERFECT early fall evening in the area last night set the stage for a gathering of Sparks, Brownies and Girl Guides in Thornhill.
Meeting at the Thornhill Community Grounds, Sparks, Brownies, Guides and their leaders enjoyed the annual bonfire, complete with refreshments.
Unlike other years marked by rain, last night's bonfire took place under ideal weather conditions.
Evening weekly sessions in Thornhill and Terrace schools are now underway for Sparks, Brownies and Girl Guides.
It also means the return of Girl Guide cookies which, this fall, are of the chocolatey mint variety.
