City councillors get gifts from China
TERRACE CITY councillors received a gift from China from the mayor's recent trip there.
Mayor Dave Pernarowski presented replicas of ancient Chinese coins to council members, including one he was going to take to Lynne Christiansen, who's recovering at home after being diagnosed with, and treated for, a rare disease in hospital in Vancouver for a couple of weeks.
He mentioned seeing some real ancient coins in a museum display while there.
The mayor was in China to talk about the possibillity of becoming a sister city to one there, the possibility of increasing Chinese tourism to the northwest and other business.
