Terrace McHappy Day provides funds to two groups
MCHAPPY DAY proceeds are going to help two organizations who help others.
The Terrace McDonalds restaurant raised about $3,400 on the day, and gave about half of the money to the Terrace Child Development Centre and the other half goes to the construction of the new Ronald McDonald House in Vancouver.
McDonalds owner Shauna LeBlanc says many people from here use the Ronald McDonald house on the Lower Mainland and it was too small and needed to be expanded so another one is being built.
Since the first McHappy Day in 1977, the chain of restaurants has raised nearly $35 million for charity across Canada, says LeBlanc.
