Bike rodeo readies children for safe riding
CHILDREN: GET yourself and your bikes ready for plenty of summer rides at the community bike rodeo June 1.
The bike rodeo is a free hands-on, interactive day, designed to teach children of all ages fundamental biking skills, road safety, and rules of the road.
All participants will receive a prize bag, a hot dog and drink.
On hand will also be the fire department, BC Paramedics, and Terrace RCMP to interact with the youths.
The fire department will be stamping all bikes with a security number.
Numerous door prizes will be given away, including the grand prizes of a girl's bike and a boy's bike.
Bike rodeos take place across the province in a safe and positive environment.
The Terrace RCMP community bike rodeo rides June 1 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the west end of the Skeena Mall Parking lot.
