Relay Day successful under sunshine
THE TERRACE 2012 Relay for Life saw all ages come out, some dressed up for the occasion, to give their time and support to those with cancer, those who survived it and those who were lost to it, yesterday.
Starting at 10 a.m. with the survivors lap, the day started and continued with unending sunshine.
Teams like the Tooth Fairies, Walking Wonders and Dragon Boaters, who were dressed as paper bag princesses, took their turns visiting with each other as they walked around the track.
Children played with a giant soccer ball on the grass in the middle of the track, getting their own exercise and trying to keep the ball from runnning into any of the team booths around the track.
Once again, the day concluded with the luminary walk at 10 p.m.
