TERRACE HOSPICE Society accepted a much-appreciated donation for $2,000 from the Rotary Club of Terrace that will go to a specific program.

The money will be used for the children's grief support group to pay for the professional grief counsellor, who leads it.

The 10-week group is for children ages nine to 12, who are grieving the loss of a family member, friend or pet.

It's recommended that it be more than three months since their loss to take part in the group.

Sessions take place in a comfortable, safe, confidential setting.

A new group starts March 28 at 6 p.m.
