Salvation Army receives cheque
THE SALVATION Army in Terrace has received the first contribution toward its Christmas hamper program.
The contribution came in the form of a $1,500 cheque, part of the proceeds of the men's open held this year at the Skeena Golf and Country Club.
Making the presentation this week to Major David Moulton from the Salvation Army were Gary MacCarthy from MacCarthy Motors and Germain Francoeur, the head professional at the golf club.
MacCarthy Motors was a major sponsor of the men's open this year held July 1-3.
Both MacCarthy and Francoeur say the Salvation Army will benefit again following the 2012 men's open.
